Fine Motor Activity - Dot Painting turkey hat
Fine motor activities are great for developing small muscles such as fingers, hands and wrists.
In early education it is important that students are provided with fine motor activities that later will help children with functions such as writing and grasping small objects.
Here is a fun fine motor Thanksgiving inspired craft that your students will enjoy making and showing off to their parents.
Dot painting turkey hat craft is a twist on the original dot painting fine motor activity sets that I have at my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Click here to view over twenty sets. Students will work on a fun turkey hat by cutting and pasting parts of a turkey. They will use paint and q-tips to dot paint the turkey’s tail feathers.
With adult guidance and visual directions that are provided with the craft, students can put together their turkey and paste all the pieces onto a sentence strip. Students can wear their turkey hats for a Thanksgiving feast celebration in the classroom or at home.
Keep in mind that this craft is best completed over several days due to paint drying.

I sure hope your students enjoy learning through art as I enjoyed creating.
